Intern Architect

Location: Montréal, QC
Type: Full-time / Internship

 

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join our studio in Montréal. The selected candidate will work closely with architects and project teams on a range of projects, contributing to design development, technical documentation, and coordination throughout various phases of practice.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in concept design, schematic design, and design development phases
  • Produce architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials
  • Support the preparation of permit and construction documents
  • Participate in site analysis, zoning reviews, and code research
  • Coordinate with consultants under the supervision of project architects
  • Assist with shop drawing reviews and construction administration tasks
  • Contribute to internal design discussions and reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Registered or eligible as an Intern Architect with the OAQ (or in the process)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
  • Knowledge of Québec Building Code and local zoning regulations is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in French (required); English proficiency is an asset

Technologist

Location: Montréal, QC
Type: Full-time

 

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join our Montréal studio. The role focuses on the technical development and documentation of architectural projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure accuracy, coordination, and constructability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop detailed architectural drawings from design development through construction documents
  • Produce permit and construction sets in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants
  • Develop details, assemblies, and material specifications
  • Assist with shop drawing reviews and responses to RFIs
  • Support construction administration through technical clarifications and site coordination
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure quality control across project documentation

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology from a recognized institution
  • 3+ years of experience in an architectural practice (experience in Québec preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Solid understanding of the Québec Construction Code and municipal regulations
  • Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, or BIM coordination is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Professional working proficiency in French; English is an asset

Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Architect to join our Montréal studio. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of architectural practice, from concept design through construction administration, working collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, and clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to design development and project coordination across multiple project phases
  • Prepare and oversee permit and construction documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants and external stakeholders
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews
  • Ensure compliance with the Québec Construction Code, zoning bylaws, and regulatory requirements
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and participate in construction administration
  • Contribute to the studio’s design culture, standards, and quality control

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in architectural practice (Québec experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience in project coordination and consultant management
  • Strong design sensibility combined with technical expertise
  • Excellent communication skills; French required, English an asset
