LE SAINT-PATRICK

Project Summary:

Located on rue Saint-Patrick in Pointe-Saint-Charles, this residential project is set within one of Montréal’s most rapidly evolving historic neighborhoods. The development introduces a mid-rise residential typology that balances contemporary urban living with the established industrial and residential character of the area. Its proximity to Charlevoix Metro, the Lachine Canal, Atwater Market, and downtown Montréal reinforces its role as a well-connected, walkable residential hub.

Architectural Vision:

The architectural composition is defined by a clear base-and-top hierarchy and a strong relationship to the street. The lower levels are expressed in red brick masonry, referencing the historic industrial fabric of Pointe-Saint-Charles and grounding the project within its context. Upper storeys are clad in light-colored metal panels, visually lightening the mass and clearly distinguishing residential volumes above.

The massing is articulated into a sequence of stepped volumes that reduce perceived scale and allow daylight to penetrate both the street façade and interior courtyard. Recessed balconies are integrated within the building envelope, maintaining façade discipline while providing private outdoor space.

A landscaped interior courtyard forms the social heart of the project, offering residents a protected green space that contrasts with the urban edge conditions. The courtyard is designed to encourage everyday use, informal encounters, and visual relief from the surrounding streetscape.
